  • I have done Adult Tap at SCDC for the last 2 years and it’s been a blast! My son also recently did a day camp and had the best time. A really special place. Highly recommend.

    Rachel K.

  • St. Clair Dance Collective is truly a gem! It’s not just a place for kids, there’s something special here for adults too! We laugh, we move, we connect, and we have so much fun. Christine is AMAZING. Not just as an instructor, but as a human being. She’s empathetic, warm, caring, loving, and genuinely kind. Ginny, the manager, is always so helpful, responsive, and accommodating, which makes everything run so smoothly. The studio itself is spacious and spotlessly clean (seriously, if you're a germophobe like me, you’ll feel completely at ease!). We feel lucky to be part of this beautiful community and hope to continue dancing here for many more years to come!

    Esther A.

  • My daughter has been taking mini ballet and mini pop at St Clair Dance Collective for almost a year now and she loves it there! Ms. Christine is amazing! She’s very welcoming and thoughtful when communicating with the kids. The classes are organized and the studio is clean. I highly recommend!

    Marlee K.

  • My daughter has really enjoyed the classes after taking several sessions of mini ballet and mini pop. Ms Christine is a truly dedicated owner/teacher. She has a focus on keeping dance financially accessible and so much fun! There was a wonderful formal dance recital at the end of the spring session.

    Deirdre B.

  • My 5y/o loved her experience in Ms Christine's dance class. We tell our friends about St Clair Dance Collective and travel outside our community to attend because we love the atmosphere that encourages skill-building in a supportive and fun class! We've now signed up our 3y/o!

    Rachel P.

  • Fantastic studio!! My daughters do the hiphop class and absolutely love it. First rate teachers, not only skilled but also very fun and likeable. After doing ballet and hiphop at several dance studios around town, this school is definitely my kids’ favourite. Highly recommend.

    Mona Z.

Questions

Questions Families Ask Before They Register

These are the questions we are asked most often. There are plenty more in our full FAQ, and if you cannot find your answer there, contact us and we will help.

What ages do you teach?

Everyone from two-year-olds to seniors. The Tiny Dance Program is for ages 2–4 and a parent dances along; Mini is 4–6; Kids is 6–9; Teen covers 10–15; adult classes welcome every skill level, including complete beginners; and the senior program runs in the daytime, in studio on Thursdays and online on Tuesdays.

Where is the studio?

We are at 579 St Clair Ave W, 2nd Floor, Toronto, ON M6C 1A3, on St. Clair West. Desk hours: Mon–Thu 3:30–8:30 pm · Fri 3:30–6 pm · Sat 9:30 am–2:30 pm · Sun 10 am–2 pm. You can call us at (647) 606-8337 or email [email protected].

How do trial classes work?

A trial class costs $10 and lets you try a real class before you commit to a session. It is for first-timers at SCDC — one trial per person, ever — and afterwards you buy a drop-in or register for the session. Pick any class on the schedule, choose a date that has trial spots left, and book it online. Trial spots are limited on each class date.

Can I register for one session instead of the whole year?

Yes. That flexibility is the point of the studio. You can register for a single session, take a class pack, or drop in one class at a time, as well as sign up for the full year. Camps and workshops are booked on their own.

What styles of dance do you offer?

Ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, acro, contemporary, lyrical, pop and musical theatre, across the age programs. Adult evenings this season include ballet, ballet barre, tap and hip hop. The weekly schedule lists the style of every class this season.

How do I register online?

Open the schedule, filter to the age or day you want, and choose a class. Pick your option — full year, session, drop-in or trial — add it to the cart, sign the waiver, and pay by card. You can also pay by e-transfer, cash or cheque within three days. Everything you have registered for shows up in your family account afterwards.
